Vintage Tea Party for Funeral - Feedback & Photos

We recently catered for just over 50 people and had in the end 8 tables as more guested arrived.

"A big thank you for the Vintage Tea provided for the celebration of the life of my mother-in-law. The traditional afternoon tea, cakes and sandwiches with lovely china on vintage tablecloths set just the right tone.
The guests especially liked the homemade cakes, as well as waitress service. 
Everything was taken care of so we had no worries, important at this event.

We started with seven tables set up with  our gorgeous authentic vintage crockery and our delicious home made food

When the guests arrived hot teapots were placed on each table for the guests to pour out their own tea and enjoy.

For cakes we made Lemon Drizzle Cake fingers (Mary Berry recipe absolutely scrummy), Walnut and Coffee Cake - each slice topped with a swirl of coffee butter cream and a walnut and a Victoria Sponge with jam and vanilla butter cream filling dusted in icing sugar also cut into wedges.

Plus plain scones with butter, whipped cream and strawberry conserve.

For sandwiches we made egg, mayonnaise and cress, ham and mustard both on white and smoked salmon on brown - all with the crusts cut of.

Beverages were coffee or tea in a pot and served with sugar cubes to sweeten - one lady said to me she had forgotten how good tea tasted when poured from a teapot and drunk in a bone china tea cup - praise indeed!

All beautifully served on our authentic vintage china, glass and cutlery - we even supplied vintage vases for the flowers for each table.
